Zoë Francesca Goldblatt is an Activity Therapist, Relationship & Intimacy Coach and End of Life Doula
Zoë began working in the fields of Aging and End Of Life Care in 2009 as a hospice volunteer with Kaiser Permanente in Portland, OR. She moved to San Francisco in 2012, and worked for Engage As You Age as an activity specialist and poetry instructor for elders. In 2014, she founded “MAPS For Life,” a mobile service providing group and individual activities for elders living in Board & Care homes in Richmond, CA.
Zoë opened her current practice, Z*O*E Activity Therapies, in 2017, and also co-founded the East Bay End of Life Doula Network in 2018. In 2022, she completed two years of training with the Somatica Institute in the field of Relationship and Intimacy Coaching, recognizing that these issues are important throughout the course of one’s life.
Zoë grew up in New York City and attended the High School of Music & Art where she majored in vocal music. Coming from a family of painters, she also spent a great deal of time in the City’s world-famous museums, learning to appreciate art from her mother and grandmother.
Zoë holds a BA degree in Cultural Anthropology from Binghamton University in New York and an MFA in Creative Writing from Mills College in Oakland.
Zoë was a contributing author to The Book of Symbols published by Taschen in 2010, has written and co-written several other books on symbols and the life cycle, and has an ongoing interest and training in Jungian Sandplay and archetypal symbols.
